Academics and Curriculum

Clifton College follows the Cambridge International Curriculum for Form 1 to A levels. At the completion of Form 2, students are guided to choose subjects in accordance with clearly distinguished pathways in the Cambridge IGCSE Programme. Before commencement of the two-year Cambridge IGCSE Programme, parents and their children will decide on the most appropriate study pathway, directly linked to A-Level studies, preferred field of study at tertiary level and career choice.

AS and A level Subject Selection

Subjects offered at AS-Level are grouped in five blocks below. A student is expected to choose one subject per block from any FOUR blocks. Four subjects must be selected in all. A student should ensure that their choice of subjects meets the admission requirements of the intended field of study at university. Extensive research on career options is recommended on university study programmes, taking cognisance of all admission requirements.
